Usually, I'm not a big fan of portable keyboards. However, the K380 has the best feel of any portable keyboard I have ever tried. As a writer, I'm pretty serious about my keyboards. I have an iMac, an iPhone, and an iPad. And this keyboard works with all of my devices. Today, I want to share with you a pretty new piece of tech I have been trying out but quickly have come to love. It's the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard. I have a MacBook Pro which I love, but it was getting to be too much to carry around the hospital all day. During first and second year, when I just had to walk to the same classroom every day, it wasn't so bad. But now that I am having to travel all over the hospital and often to several different campuses, it was starting to wear on my back. So, I decided to stop bringing my laptop every day and just start bringing my iPad but needed to find a good keyboard for it. I had thought about getting a case with a built-in keyboard, but then I found this multi-device bluetooth keyboard and decided to try it out.
The concept behind this keyboard is that it can be connected to up to 3 different devices at the same time and seamlessly switch between each. For example, I have mine connected to my MacBook, iPad, and iPhone. While I typically would not be using all three of these devices at once, having the keyboard automatically set up to connect to all three when it turns on, makes multi-tasking super simple. For example, if I am typing out a blog post or email on my iPad, I can quickly switch over to my computer to search something on the internet or switch over to my phone to type out an Instagram post all while using the same keyboard. It only takes pushing one button to change from one device to the other and the response time is so quick that switching between them all is practically instantaneous. Also, this keyboard supports all platforms, including OS, iOS, Windows, Chrome OS, Android, and Apple TV, so there are endless possibilities of devices to which you can pair this keyboard. It is fairly compact and lightweight so is easy to carry around in my backpack along with my iPad. Definitely comes in handy when it's a slower rotation day and I have time to get some work done. I have the blue version, but it also comes in a dark gray color.
